We started with a simple objection.
Becoming a parent is one of the most demanding things a person will ever do. It runs on no sleep, no salary, and no notice. It rearranges your body, your marriage, your name.
So we set out to make something that treats this chapter the way it deserves to be treated: with real warmth, a bit of ceremony, and a sense of humor that only new parents could have. We believe both parents walk through the same door and do the same impossible, wonderful work, which means both of them deserve to feel it.
And if you're reading this before the baby has arrived, before the first 3am wake-up, before you know what an all-nighter with a newborn actually feels like, you're every bit as welcome. In fact, you might be the most welcome of all. Nobody is ever fully ready for this. That's rather the point. The club is here for the people deep in it and the people standing right at the edge of it, wondering what's coming. Either way, you're one of us now.
That belief is the heart of the whole company. Everything else is just how we show it.
